Your plans are yours.

Effective August 13, 2026

Weather Lens has no accounts, no ads, and no third-party analytics. Your plans live on your phone. The only things that ever leave it are what's needed to fetch a forecast and to write a plain-word insight — described in full below.

What stays on your device

Your plans. Every plan you create — its name, place, and time window — is stored locally on your iPhone. There are no accounts and no cloud copy we hold.
Your notifications. Heads-ups are scheduled on the device by iOS. Nothing about them is sent anywhere.
Your settings. Appearance, units, and notification preferences stay local.

What leaves your device, and where it goes

Coordinates go to Open-Meteo. To fetch a forecast, the app sends the coordinates of the places you've chosen (and, if you allow location access, your current location) to Open-Meteo, a weather data provider. Open-Meteo requires no account and receives no name or identifier from the app.
Plan text goes to Anthropic. When you describe a plan in your own words, ask Lens a question, or read a model-written insight, the relevant text and forecast context are sent to Anthropic's API, where Claude generates the response. These requests pass through a Weather Lens relay server that adds the API credential and forwards them — it stores nothing and keeps no logs of their content. They carry no account identity — there are no accounts.
Purchases go through Apple. The Lens+ subscription is handled entirely by the App Store. We never see your payment details, and Apple's receipt is validated on the device.

Location

Location access is optional. You can run Weather Lens entirely on places you type or drop a pin on — if you do grant access, your location is used only to fetch the local forecast and is not stored anywhere but on the device.

What we don't do

No accounts, sign-ins, or profiles.
No advertising and no ad identifiers.
No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
No selling, sharing, or brokering of any data — there is nothing to sell.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes everything Weather Lens knows about you. The third parties above handle requests under their own policies: Open-Meteo's terms and Anthropic's privacy policy.

Children

Weather Lens is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare and boring.
